Day 3 in the Big Apple

We thought yesterday was a long day. Well, today was longer and I imagine tomorrow will be even longer still. We have a packed schedule on Tuesday for sure. Today (Monday) we started a tour with busses you can hop on and off at different sites for 48 hours – so we’re not done with all of that yet. We saw SO MANY things that I’m too tired and delirious to detail at the moment.

Of note for today: We visited ground zero where the World Trade Center used to be. This was a very moving experience. They have started construction of the new Freedom Tower that they expect to have open by 2012. We rode the ferry over to Staten Island and got a pretty close up view of the Statue of Liberty and some cool shots of the city. We went up to the Top of the Rock Observatory at the Rockefeller Center to see the sun set and the city all lit up by the evening lights.

Another great day in New York :)!! Here are a few pix…

I like the night shot of the city, that one worked well. Sounds like you guys are definitely having fun. Looks like the weather is actually pretty good as well.
